At first, we were worried because the audience did not easily gather, but it seemed that they were caught in the traffic jam. So we delayed the start time by 30 minutes.

I especially appreciated learning the history of Dr. Louise Reiss and me American mothers. It is very important to provide examples citizens doing something about radiation exposure.

Day two in Boston.
Fourteen days into the tour, exactly two weeks.

There’s still a long way to go, but we’re on schedule.
We had a screening in Boston, a little west of Cambridge, a little outside of Boston.
The screening started at 17:00, and I was impatient because no one showed up at 17:00, but it was because of the traffic.
The number of attendees was small, but it was a productive screening.
We talked about a lot of things over dinner.
Thankfully, they took me to a restaurant where I ate my first steak in America.
I was really happy ・・・！
This is a standard question, but I asked him, “What do you think about the atomic bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki?” He said, “For the United States, the atomic bombs were dropped to end the war. Many American soldiers were also saved. It is taught in propaganda, but I know that is not the case. “.
I think the people who organize and participate in the screenings already have this kind of thinking.
In the future, how do we communicate it to those who do not?
It is important to present it directly, but there are people who think it has nothing to do with them.
I want to create opportunities to solve this problem.
I am staying at Weiland.
I am staying in the basement, but it smells like mold and it hurts my head.
The bed is also damp.
On the plus side, it’s quite spacious.
You can spread out about 10 suitcases.
I think every room has its pros and cons, but I can’t afford to be extravagant, so I’ll do my best.
ボストン2日目。
ツアーがはじまって14日、ちょうど2週間が経ちます。
残す26日！
まだまだ残すところは長いですが、予定通り進んでいるところです。
ボストンのケンブリッジより、少し西側のボストンよりちょっと郊外にあるところで上映をしてもらいました。
17時からの上映だったんですけど、17時になっても人が来なくて焦りましたが、交通渋滞のせいだったようです。
参加者人数は少なかったですが、充実した上映会でした。
夕食を食べながら、一緒にいろんな話をしました。
ありがたいことに、レストランに連れていっていただき、アメリカに来てはじめてのステーキを食べさせていただきました。
とても沁みました・・・。
定番ですが、「広島・長崎原爆についてどう思うか？」という質問をさせてもらったところ、「アメリカにとって、原爆を落としたのは戦争を終結させるため。多くのアメリカ兵士も命を救われた。とプロパガンタで教えられているけれど、そうではないと知っている」と言う答えでした。
上映会を主催してくださる方、参加してくださる方は、すでにそんな考え方を持っている人たちだと思います。
今後は、そうではない人たちにどう伝えていくかです。
直接的に提示していくことは大切だけど、「自分には関係ない」と、遠い話にしてしまっている人もいる。
そこを解決する機会をつくりたいです。
今宿泊しているのは、ウェイランドです。
地下に宿泊しているのですが、カビ臭くて頭がいたいです。
ベッドも湿っています。
良い点でいうとかなり広いということ。
スーツケースも10個ぐらい広げられます。
どの部屋も一長一短だと思いますが、贅沢言ってられないのでがんばります。
