A Japanese director confronts the American people with radioactive contamination throughout the Americas.

Japan was not the only A-bombed country in the world. 101 atomic bombs were dropped on the continent by the US government. Nuclear tests heavily radioactive the Americas. However, the US government hid this from the people.

 日本人監督が、アメリカ国民に突きつけるアメリカ大陸全土の放射能汚染。

日本は、世界で唯一の被爆国ではなかった。アメリカ政府によって大陸に落とされた101個の原子爆弾。核実験によってアメリカ大陸は強く放射能汚染。しかし、アメリカ政府は、そのことを国民に隠した。

Documentary film director/television director

HIDEAKI ITO

Born in 1960. Became a kindergarten teacher and changed to TV in 2000. In 12 and 15, the movie “X Years Later” series was released in theaters. In 23, the movie “SILENT FALLOUT” was produced. It was evaluated at 15 overseas film festivals, including the Hampton International Film Festival and the St. Louis International Film Festival. It received the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award at the 71 Arts Awards, the Japan Press Club Special Award, the Galaxy Award Grand Prize, and the Japan Federation of Private Broadcasters Award for Best Film. He is the author of “X Years After Exposure to Radiation” (Kodansha).

 伊東英朗

1960年生まれ。幼稚園教諭から‘00年、テレビの世界に転じる。‘12年、‘15年、映画「X年後」シリーズを劇場公開。‘23年、映画「SILENT FALLOUT」を製作。ハンプトン国際映画祭、セントルイス国際映画祭など、15の海外映画祭で評価。第71回芸術選奨　文部科学大臣賞、日本記者クラブ賞特別賞、ギャラクシー賞大賞、日本民間放送連盟賞最優秀賞などを受賞。著書に『放射線を浴びたＸ年後』（講談社）がある。

In the case of Japan:
Lending of media for screenings and Ito director’s talk (please bear travel and accommodation expenses) are free of charge.
We have a donation system in which we ask for “support money” from those who see the film. It is voluntary.
A small screening for a few people at home is also okay. Flyers (limited number) are free (shipping is charged).

上映会用媒体の貸出、及び伊東監督トーク（旅費・宿泊費はご負担下さい）は、無償です。
作品を観た方に「支援金」を募って頂く寄付制となっております。あくまで任意です。

Voice

放射能被害の広域、地球規模、長期化の恐ろしさを知りました。このような映画を日本の学校でも上映できるといいと思いました。
原発は日本の問題と思っていたけど、世界でも問題になっていること、苦しんでいる人がいることを知らず、原発の実験がこれほど行われていたとは知らなかった
ネバダやマーシャル諸島の汚染のことは何度か聞いていましたが、今回の映画で現実の深刻さを目の当たりにしてショックでした。アメリカでも日本でも多くの人に見てもらいたい説得力のある映画でした。
アメリカで被ばく問題と住民運動は全く知らなかった。知らないことが一番の問題だと感じた。
アメリカでも日本でも何の問題でも政府との闘いは長いなと思いました。
ソルトレイクシティの女性が死亡率の記事を集めていた場所を指して、「いっぱいあったのよ、でも憂鬱になってしまって」といった事を言ったのが印象的でした。子供の頃に周りにいた人たちがどんどん若くして亡くなって行く喪失感やなんで、という思いや色々つらい思いが積み重なって行ったんですね。
放射線のもたらすもの、を知らせる。このドキュメンタリー映像に感銘を受けました。知らない事のこわさ。
アメリカだけの問題ではない全人類に関わる事。あらためて考えさせられる事ばかりでした。
このような作品をありがとうございました。ショッキングな事ばかりですが自分事として考えていきたいです。
